Snake robots ~ amazing!

This from the About section on the youtube video.

"Snake robots can use their many internal degrees of freedom to thread through tightly packed volumes and access locations that people and machinery otherwise cannot. These highly articulated devices can coordinate their internal degrees of freedom to perform a variety of locomotive gaits that go beyond the capabilities of conventional wheeled and legged robots. The true power of these devices is their versatility; they can crawl, climb, swim, and scale flights of stairs.

Addictinggames.com site review

Addicting games is my favorite of many flash game websites, it has hundreds of games that are, well, addicting.

Whenever you just want to relieve a little boredom it’s a great place to go, some of the better games on here have kept me occupied for hours on end, others not quite as long, but most of the games a very fun and they get new entries daily.

EPOC NeuroHeadset, from Emotiv.

http://gadgets.boingboing.net/2008/02/20/emotiv-epoc-neurohea.html

The EPOC NeuroHeadset from Emotiv will allow users to control video games using their mind, pretty Sci-fi huh?

I was, somewhat shocked when I read about this, I mean, it’s not like I thought it was impossible or anything. But I’ve been dreaming about this kind of thing since I was a little kid. I’ve always wanted to get a job working on this kind of technology (on the programming side.) so for me, this kind of feels like my dreams are becoming a reality to me.

Anyway, if you’re a big fan of games, or computers in general, you can see where this could go. Who knows, pretty soon we may be talking with each other over the internet using our minds.

The EPOC NeuroHeadset will be available around Christmas this year, for a mere $299.

Ps. Sorry for not blogging again sooner, I’ve had a horrible flu for the last three weeks, and now some relatives are visiting.

Bioshock

Another excuse to pump monsters full of lead? I don’t think so, Bioshock is definitely one of the best games currently out for the Xbox 360, if you enjoy either shooters or a good storyline, this game won’t disappoint you. Although the FPS combat isn’t extraordinary it’s fairly challenging, if you don’t play the game on easy, and has a few unique twists. To make yourself a more powerful combatant you will need to use a variety of “plasmids”. These rewrite your genetic structure, making your stronger, faster, tougher, or giving you special abilities, such as the ever classic “telekinesis” and the somewhat more original “insect swarm”. But, as I have already said, the real selling point of Bioshock is its storyline, I don’t want to say much, because its much better if you have no clue as to what will happen next, but it has some of the best plot twists of any game I’ve played through. The surroundings match the mood perfectly, dark, gloomy, and yet you can, at times see the beautiful city rapture once was. I like the flavor that being set in the 1960s gives the game. I’ve noticed that several games lately have tried setting there games in this general time zone, Bioshock reminded me in particular of the Fallout series.

I’ll give Bioshock a 9/10 it wasn’t completely perfect, but the amazing storyline, beautiful graphics and flavorful setting far outweigh the games few flaws.

So, would you kindly go to your nearest gamestop or Wal-Mart and buy Bioshock? I promise you will not be disappointed.
